Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akif Türer is a highly qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist practicing in Bodrum, Turkey. Born in Adana in 1985, he completed his primary and high school education in Tarsus, Mersin. He graduated from Çukurova University Dentistry Faculty in 2008 and began his PhD education in Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ondokuz Mayıs University Dentistry Faculty in 2009.
PhD & Academic Career
In 2013, Dr. Türer completed his PhD thesis titled 'Effect of zoledronic acid on defect repair in osteoporotic rat model: histological, stereological and radiographic evaluation' and earned his PhD and Oral Surgery Specialist titles. The same year, he began working as an Assistant Associate Professor at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Dentistry Faculty, Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Publications & Associate Professor Title
As a result of his academic studies, Dr. Türer has many articles published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. In April 2019, he earned the Associate Professor (Doçent) title.
Clinical Experience
From 2019 to 2024, Dr. Türer worked at Private İmpladent Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic in Istanbul Maltepe. Since August 2024, he has been operating his own clinic in Bodrum-Ortakent, Muğla, where he shares his academic and clinical expertise with patients.
