Dr. Aslı Can is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist whose graduation from Trakya University Medical Faculty (2002-2006), completion of specialty training at Gaziantep University Medical Faculty (2004-2009), advanced microsurgery training at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, publication of international research papers.

Early Life and Education

Dr. Can was born in Osmaniye in 1978. She received her medical education at Trakya University Medical Faculty from 2002 to 2006, completing her medical degree. She pursued specialty training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Gaziantep University Medical Faculty from 2004 to 2009, receiving comprehensive training in all aspects of plastic surgery.

Advanced Training

During her specialty training, Dr. Can sought advanced training in microsurgery at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, one of Turkey's leading centers for microsurgical techniques. This additional training equipped her with sophisticated skills in tissue replantation and reconstruction requiring microscopic precision.

Academic Contributions

Dr. Can's academic contributions include publication of two international research papers in Annals of Plastic Surgery, a highly respected peer-reviewed journal in plastic surgery. Her 2016 publication, co-authored with Prof. Dr. Mehmet Mutaf and colleagues, investigated "The Effect of Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone) on Random Pattern Skin Flap Survivor in Rat Model" (Ann Plast Surg. 2016 Aug;77(2):e9-e14). This research formed the basis of her specialty thesis supervised by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Mutaf.

Additionally, Dr. Can has presented her work at numerous national plastic surgery congresses, with at least 7+ presentations.

Professional Career

Following specialty completion, Dr. Can fulfilled her mandatory service obligation in Gaziantep and Urfa from 2010 to 2012. In 2011, she received an intra-institutional appointment to Aydın State Hospital, where she worked as a specialist physician for approximately 2 years.

Seeking to enhance her practical skills, Dr. Can spent 2013-2014 in observer training at Barış Çakır, Oymak and Cellest Clinics.

In 2014, Dr. Can resigned from Aydın State Hospital and briefly worked at İzmir Private Gözde Hospital before joining İzmir Private Gazi Hospital. In 2017, she established her own practice, AG Klinik (Aesthetic and Women's Health Clinic) in İzmir, where she has been providing comprehensive aesthetic surgery and women's health services.
