Early Life and Education

Through the ÖSYM national examination, he earned admission to Marmara University English Medical Faculty, one of Turkey's most competitive medical programs, where he excelled academically, graduating in the top 0.1% in 1997.

Medical Training and USA Fellowship

After medical school, Dr. Saygın passed the TUS examination and worked briefly at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital in General Surgery (8 months) before passing TUS again in April 2001. Dr. Saygın achieved a remarkable milestone by passing the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination), earning his USA Medical Doctor License and ECFMG Diploma. This achievement opened the door to international training. In 2001, he began a Clinical Fellowship at Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas, one of the world's premier cardiac surgery centers, where he spent one year specializing in aortic and vascular surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Denton Cooley, one of the most legendary cardiac surgeons in history.

Career in Turkey

Upon returning to Turkey in 2002, Dr. Saygın joined Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine Cardiovascular Surgery Department (2002-2003), bringing his USA-acquired expertise to Turkish academic medicine. He subsequently worked at state hospitals in Van, Malatya, and Bursa (2003-2007), performing thousands of successful cardiac and vascular operations. From 2007 to 2013, Dr. Saygın served as a full-time Cardiovascular Surgeon at Bursa Çekirge Heart and Arrhythmia Hospital, where he performed approximately 5000 surgical procedures. Dr. Saygın's current practice focuses on minimally invasive and robotic cardiovascular procedures, varicose vein treatment center services, and non-surgical vascular interventions.
