Dr. Bachar Memet - Dermatology Specialist

Uzm. Dr. Bachar Memet is an accomplished Dermatology Specialist with extensive academic and clinical experience at some of İstanbul's most prestigious medical institutions. Born in Gümülcine (1987), he completed primary and secondary education in İstanbul.

Dr. Memet graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Medical Faculty, completing his medical education from 2005 to 2011.

In 2012, Dr. Memet began his dermatology residency as a Research Assistant at S.B. Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital, a major teaching hospital in İstanbul with a robust dermatology program. During his five-year residency from 2012 to 2017, he received comprehensive training across multiple dermatology subspecialties including Dermatological Surgery, Dermato-Cosmetology, Dermatological Allergy, Dermoscopy, Laser Applications, and Phototherapy.

His academic interests culminated in his residency thesis titled "Evaluation of the effects of antihistamines and antidepressants on substance P levels in patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria," an original research project exploring the neuroinflammatory mechanisms underlying chronic hives and the biochemical effects of different treatment approaches.

Upon completing his specialty training in 2017, Dr. Memet was appointed as a Faculty Member at İstanbul Bilim University from 2017 to 2018. This academic position involved teaching medical students, supervising residents, contributing to curriculum development, and conducting research. Simultaneously, he provided patient care at Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals.

From 2018 to 2021, Dr. Memet worked in the Medical and Aesthetic Dermatology department at Koç University Hospital, one of İstanbul's most prestigious and technologically advanced private medical centers.

From 2021 to 2024, Dr. Memet continued his work in aesthetic dermatology, further developing his expertise in cosmetic procedures.

In January 2025, Dr. Memet opened his own private dermatology clinic, where he currently provides comprehensive services in General Dermatology, Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology, Dermatological Surgery, Dermatological Allergy, and Dermoscopy.
