Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akman MD FACS is a professor in Ophthalmology with over 30 years of experience. He graduated from Hacettepe University English Medical Faculty in 1991 and completed his Ophthalmology specialty at Hacettepe University in 1995.

Dr. Akman conducted glaucoma research at Duke University in North Carolina, USA. He achieved the title of Associate Professor in 2000 and Professor in Ophthalmology in 2007. He was a founder member of Baskent University Medical Faculty Ophthalmology Department from its establishment, serving for 23 years before opening his own practice in Ankara in 2018.
