Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Nihat Koç - Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist

Doç. Dr. Mustafa Nihat Koç is a highly accomplished Associate Professor specializing in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Born in Konya in 1975, Dr. Koç completed his primary and secondary education in Samsun and Konya before pursuing his medical degree at one of Turkey's most prestigious institutions, Hacettepe University Medical Faculty, graduating in 2002.

Professional Journey

Immediately after graduation, Dr. Koç achieved top scores in the TUS examination and was accepted into the Plastic Surgery Department at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital. He began his residency training on October 21, 2002, at the 2nd Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic. During his residency, he married Nihal, and they welcomed their first child, Efe. Dr. Koç completed his specialist training in 2008, earning the title of Op. Dr. (Operator Doctor).

His first assignment was at Gaziantep Av. Cengiz Gökçek State Hospital for mandatory service. He subsequently served his military obligation as a Medical Lieutenant at Çorlu Military Hospital (May 2009 - April 2010) before returning to complete his mandatory service at Gaziantep.

Academic Career

In March 2012, Dr. Koç was appointed as a faculty member at Gaziantep University Medical Faculty, where he served for approximately seven years until February 2019. During this period, he held the position of Department Chair for the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department for approximately five years (2014-2019). Throughout his academic career, he performed numerous microsurgical, aesthetic, and hand surgery procedures, taught many medical students, and successfully trained eight plastic surgery specialists. He also contributed to nationally recognized medical achievements and published extensively in both national and international medical journals.

Private Practice

After his distinguished academic career, Dr. Koç decided to continue his professional practice as a private practitioner. He opened his clinic in Gaziantep, and later, due to his son's desire to study in Istanbul, the family relocated to Istanbul. Together with his wife, Dr. Koç now provides comprehensive aesthetic services, both surgical and non-surgical, at their clinic in Nişantaşı.

Married to Nihal with two children (Efe and Defne), Dr. Koč combines his extensive academic background with practical expertise to provide world-class aesthetic surgery services. His clinic is located at Harbiye Mah Maçka Cad Feza Apt No:1 Kat 2, 34367 Şişli / İstanbul.
