Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Sezim Şafak is a highly accomplished ENT specialist and researcher based in Istanbul, Turkey. After attending Istanbul Atatürk Science High School (1996-1999), she graduated from the prestigious Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, English Program in 2005. She completed her ENT residency at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital in 2010.

PhD in Biotechnology - Stem Cell Research

Dr. Şafak pursued advanced research by completing a PhD at Yeditepe University Biotechnology Department from 2014 to 2020, focusing on stem cell treatments in the ENT field. This makes her uniquely qualified in both clinical practice and cutting-edge regenerative medicine.

Award-Winning Research

At the 13th Turkish Rhinology Congress in 2017, Dr. Şafak won the FIRST PLACE Award for her oral presentation on 'Stem cell applications in septal perforation repair' (AS Şafak, Apdik AE, Apdik H, Taşlı PN, Şahin F, 2017), demonstrating her pioneering work in regenerative ENT surgery.

Academic Career

Since 2014, Dr. Şafak has been serving as Assistant Associate Professor at Yeni Yüzyıl University, Audiometry Department. She later achieved the Associate Professor (Doçent) title in ENT.
