Prof. Dr. Yavuz Arıkan is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon and Professor with world-class subspecialty training in orthopedic oncology from one of the world's most prestigious orthopedic institutions, the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Italy.

Professional Journey

Born in Uşak in 1978, he graduated from Karadeniz Teknik University Medical Faculty in 2003. He completed his orthopedics and traumatology specialization at Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital in 2010. He served his mandatory service at Kocaeli Derince Training and Research Hospital Orthopedics Clinic.

Career Highlights

From 2012 to 2020, he worked as a Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors Specialist at Baltalimanı Bone Diseases Training and Research Hospital for 8 years. In 2014, he received specialized training in orthopedic oncology at Italy Bologna University Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute. He became TOTEK board certified in 2013.

Current Practice

In 2020, he became the founding physician and Orthopedics Clinical Chief at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital. He established his own private clinic in 2022. He was promoted to Professor in 2024 and currently serves as a faculty member at Istanbul Sağlık ve Teknoloji University Orthopedics & Traumatology Department.
